Welcome! I’m Chris Mohammed, your local State Farm agent and owner of the Chris Mohammed State Farm Agency, located at 9615 Avenue L in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. I opened my agency in May 2022 after more than 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, and I’m proud to serve individuals, families, and businesses throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.

For me, being a State Farm agent is about more than insurance—it’s an opportunity to be a resource for the community and help people better understand how to protect what matters most. Helping others has always been important to me. Long before opening my agency, I was the person family and friends could turn to when they needed help finding information, understanding their options, or figuring out the next step.

My own story has taken me through several communities that helped shape who I am today. Originally from Trinidad, I moved to Canada with my family at the age of five before eventually making New York home. I’ve lived in Harlem, Queens, and Brooklyn and attended Andrés Hudde Junior High School and Sheepshead Bay High School. I later studied Biology at St. John’s University and Business and Marketing at Kingsborough Community College.

Before becoming a State Farm agent, I spent more than 12 years in the insurance industry, primarily as a State Farm team member. My experience includes customer service, new business, and agency management. Today, our agency team brings more than 25 years of combined insurance experience to the customers and communities we serve.
